Driver Dominic Starkweather has a passion for motorsports that started at a very young age, after he received a dirt bike for his birthday. He quickly fell in love with speed. That passion grew and alongside it, he and his dad began building classic cars. Dom then started building go karts and the need for speed continued to grow.
Dom began as a passenger in his dad’s race car and soon started driving. He attended Spring Mountain Motor Driving School twice and began in SCCA, STU where he quickly excelled and won the Championship Race. He caught the eye of renowned racing podcast host, Tim Leming and was interviewed on his show featuring rising race car drivers.
He has driven in WRL Endurance Races at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) and Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, with professional drivers. Dom has also driven at major tracks including Laguna Seca and Auto Club Speedway. He is currently leading the standings in the U.S. Majors Tour Championship for the Western Conference in 2020. Next season will find him in GT4 America with teammate Cole Loftsgard. Dom also works with a physical trainer and a racing coach to keep him physically and mentally prepared for the rigors of driving.
Off the track, in the last few years, Dom has invested 150 service hours in his community and has led 2 service trips to build houses in Mexico. He’s had a leadership position in another service organization for a 3-week long trip handling logistics for a group of over 40 and led and completed another significant volunteer service project.
